Vanguard Detectable Warning System

The Vanguard Detectable Warning System is a detectable warning surface and anti-skid surface designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This warning surface can be used for new construction or retrofitting on access ramps, transit platform edges, or hazardous vehicular ways. The surface is manufactured on site out of liquid plastic epoxy, with truncated domes that are liquid applied. This allows the surface to follow the existing contours of the structure to which it is applied , and to continue to follow the contours as they change over time, eliminating freeze/thaw heave and trip hazards from curling edges. Because there is no gap between the detectable warning surface and the structure to which it is applied , water cannot get underneath allowing moisture to degrade the structural surface below. The surface contains glass beads for skid resistance and to reflect light under any lighting conditions for increased visibility. COLOR: Blue, yellow, red, black, or white. WARRANTY: 5-year interior and exterior warranty covering color retention, non-skid, and adhesion.
