---- “DO IT YOURSELF” ENTRY --------- PURPOSE: To incorporate a dial scanner to assist children with disabilities with making choices during play. A light-touch switch is hooked up to a dial scanner. For children with physical disabilities, prop the child’s arm to enable easy access. Using a toy such as Mr. Potato Head with pieces, attach the toy pieces with Velcro onto the dial Plexiglas. Pieces are added as choice making advances. To encourage better scanning toy pieces positioning can be alternated on the Plexiglas. TITLE: Dial-Up Fun!. JOURNAL: Ideas to share: Tots n’ Tech.
