The VoicePal 8 is a direct selection communicator designed for use by individuals with cognitive or communication disabilities. Up to eight 11-second messages can be recorded and played back on this communication aid by touching a Taction Pad touch switch (included) (see separate entry) or any commercially available adaptive switch. Messages can be recorded in any order. The VoicePal 8 does not lose messages even if the batteries go completely dead. Other features include a repeat message mode in which messages are repeated as many as 10 times when the switch is held down, and delayed activation to give the user time to identify objects before pressing the Taction Pad or other external switch. The device comes with one Taction Pad. POWER: Uses 4 AAA alkaline batteries (included). DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 1.25 x 5.75 x 3.75 inches. WEIGHT: 10 ounces with batteries.
