Bathtub Safety Rails are bathtub grab bars designed for use by individuals with balance or mobility disabilities. Made from powder-coated steel (models 1250 and 1255), plastic (models 1260 and 1265), or a composite material (model 1240), these rails provide added stability when getting in and out of the bathtub. Models 1240, 1250, 1255, and 1260 have two grip handles, including a lower one that allows for a seated grip position. Model 1265 has one grip handle. The rails attach to the tub sides with adjustable clamps. Non-skid rubber pads protect the tub wall and assure a sure grip. Model 1255 is the inverse of 1250. SIZES: Regular (models 1250, 1255, and 1265) or tall (model 1260). DIMENSIONS (HxW): 12.5 inches (upper) and 7 inches (lower) x 6.5 inches (model 1240); 15 inches (upper) and 7 inches (lower) x 5.5 inches (models 1250 and 1255); 16.5 inches (upper) and 9 inches (lower) x 8 inches (model 1260); 12 x 8 inches (model 1265).
