Focus (Model 818)

The Focus, model 818, is an adult wheelchair designed for use by individuals with mobility or severe physical disabilities. FRAME: The adjustable modular frame has an overall width of 26 5/16 inches. The frame sdjusts from 15.5 to 19 inches. The push handles adjust from 38 3/16 to 41 7/8 inches high. Adjustable anti-tips adjust to five different heights in 3/16-inch increments. SEAT: The seat height adjusts from 15 3/8 to 20 inches. Built-in seat extenders provide support for an extended seat.The seat is available in 16, 18, or 20 inches wide and the seat depth is adjustable to five positions from 15.5 to 19 inches. The height to the top of the seat back is 35.25 inches. The back has a rigid back bar, adjustable tension, and four-position angle adjustment. CUSHION: A 20-inch cushion is standard. It can be cut to 16 or 18 inches by opening the Velcro closure, cutting the foam to size, and reclosing the Velcro strip. ARMRESTS: The removable, swing-back, desk-length arms have 11 locking positions with four inches of height adjustment. An additional clip locks the arm to the frame and minimizes flex during transfers. The width between arms is 17.5 inches. BRAKES: Wheel locks are standard. WHEELS: Composite rear drive wheels with quick-release, 14-position axles and high-profile, solid treaded tires. An amputee adapter is included. CASTERS: Adjustable-height front casters. FOOTRESTS: Footrests swing in or out and feature pivoting composite footplates with rubber heel loops and calf strap. CAPACITY: 350 pounds on the 16- and 18-inch models and 400 pounds on the 20-inch model.
