8th Annual Travis AFB Gold Star Ruck March

Network of Care for Seniors and People with Disabilities

A Gold Star Family (GSF) is one who has had any member of the immediate family die in defense of our country while serving in any branch of the armed forces. Travis Air Force Base honors and supports those families of the members who made the ultimate sacrifice through our Annual Gold Star Ruck March.

The course is 6.2 miles (10K) long and is a child & stroller-friendly event. You can compete as a 4-person team or as an individual in the four categories listed below:

Military (ABU, ACU, etc) or Civilian/Military (civilian running attire) Heavy: Must carry 30 pound rucksack. We encourage you to fill your ruck with non-perishable canned food that will be donated to Mission Solano following the event.

Military or Civilian Light: Ruck under 30lbs or travel light with no rucksack

Learn the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adults over the age of 65. Build understanding of the importance of early intervention, and how to help an older adult in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge. This is all day 8 hour course. Finally! Effective and quickly learned Self Defense and Safety techniques.

Beginning level classes starting April 9th, 2018. Enrollment open. Attend the entire series or drop in.

Adult family members encouraged to attend together. This is a progressive series of self defense classes that will increase your ability to defend against a wide range of dangers. This is not a Martial Arts class. This is way beyond Martial Arts. You'll leave with powerful skills after the first class. These classes will change your life.

This is not a workout or exercise class. People of all physical abilities are welcome. You do not have to be strong to effectively put down attackers.

This series will run April 9 to May 28 2018. You can come and observe 30 minutes of any class for $0.
