New season of ‘North Woods Law’ starts up

The third season of North Woods Law, featuring conservation officers of the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, starts Jan. 7.

Among the incidents that will be shown this season are a 19-year-old case involving a missing man, solved with the use of new camera and sonar technologies; a night rescue of an injured and exhausted teenager with autism from Mount Washington; saving a malnourished and disorientated hawk battling blindness; and gearing up to help local police make an arrest on a massive marijuana growing operation.

“People have given us lots of positive feedback on the way the show has progressed so far,” said Fish and Game Law Enforcement Chief Col. Kevin Jordan. “And just as we hoped, North Woods Law is serving to help the public understand the complexity of the work these officers are doing.”

The program is an offshoot of North Woods Law, which started in 2012 featuring conservation officers in Maine. It switched to New Hampshire last year.
