Township meeting

A Richland Township Trustees meeting will take place Wednesday, July 11, at 6 p.m., in the Richland Township Building, Senecaville.

Fundraiser

Dakota's 4th Annual Yard Sale for Autism will take place July 12-14 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the St. Benedict's Activity Center, 220 N. 7th St.Cambridge. City Band

The Cambridge City Band will perform on Friday, July 13, at 7 p.m. in Quaker City.

Board meeting

The East Muskingum Board of Education will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 12, in the East Muskingum Board Office, 13505 John Glenn School Road, New Concord.

Kayak try-it

There will be a free "Kayak Try-it" at Seneca Lake Park on Sunday, July 22, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. This event is perfect for families or people who have never been in a kayak. Participants will receive a short introduction onshore, then try single or double kayaks near the shoreline for short periods of time. Staff is on hand to assist and participants may be able to try different types of kayaks. Meet at the beach area to sign-up for a time slot, first-come first-served. A completed waiver is required for all participants, legal guardians must sign for minors. Maximum weight capacity is 375 lbs for solo kayak and 500 lbs for tandem kayak.

Employee reunion

Cambridge State Hospital employees annual reunion is scheduled for noon on Thursday, July 12 at Mr. Lee'sFamily Restaurant banquet room on East Wheeling Avenue in Cambridge. Bring a covered dish and table service.

Thought of the day

If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.
