Couple arrested for alleged child abuse

Sep. 12--VICTORVILLE -- Eriberto and Louisa Perez have been arrested after a San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department investigation that involved alleged abuse, false imprisonment, and annoying or molestation of a child.
On Sept. 4, deputies with the Victorville Sheriff's Station began investigating a report of injuries to a child, as well as molestation. The reporting party told authorities the victim had visible signs of abuse, saying the suspects inflicted the injuries, a Sheriff's Department report said.
Investigators allege Eriberto Perez held the victim against her will in a locked room and assaulted her. When Louisa Perez was informed of the abuse, she physically struck the victim multiple times, the report said.
Victorville resident Louisa Perez, 41, was arrested Sept. 4. She was booked at High Desert Detention Center for inflicting injury on a child.
Over the next several days, deputies conducted an extensive investigation into the molestation allegations and an arrest warrant for false imprisonment and annoying or molesting a child was issued Sept. 9 for 39-year-old Eriberto Perez, the report said.
On Wednesday, Eriberto Perez, of Victorville, was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center.
Investigators have released a photo of Eriberto Perez, as they believe there may be additional victims that have not come forward.
