Teen arrested for Measure 11 sex crimes

Herald and News - 1/5/2018

A local teenager has been charged with sexual assault after allegedly forcing himself on a girl last summer.

Juan Francisco Ortega Delgadillo, 17, appeared in court Thursday for an incident occurring Aug. 21, 2017, in Klamath County. He has been charged as an adult due to the seriousness of the allegations.

Ortega Delgadillo allegedly forced the victim, 16, to perform unwanted sex acts and fondled her genitals. He was indicted by a grand jury Dec. 14, 2017, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Ortega Delgadillo pleaded not guilty Thursday to first-degree sodomy, first-degree sexual abuse and two counts of first-degree unlawful sexual penetration. Attorney Scott Carter was appointed to represent Ortega Delgadillo and his next scheduled court date is Jan. 9.

If found guilty, Ortega Delgadillo faces at least 100 months in prison. He was ordered held on $100,000 bail.
