BRIEF: Rush Springs man charged with lewd child molestation

Jan. 08--A Rush Springs man was arrested on charges of lewd child molestation after he allegedly abused a child under 12.
Eric Anthony Smith was brought in for questioning at the Rush Springs Police Department after authorities received information from the Department of Human Services Child Abuse Hotline, according to an incident report.
Smith allegedly admitted to sexually abusing the child by molestation, penetration and showing them pornography on his cell phone, the report said.
Smith faces charges of child sexual abuse to a child under the age of 12 between June 3, 2016 and Jan. 2, 2018. The felony crime is punishable by imprisonment of not less than 25 years, nor more than life and a fine of not less than $500 nor more than $5,000, according to an information report from the Grady County District Attorney's Office.
