Man pleads guilty to child sex abuse in county court

June 11--WATERTOWN -- Richard K. Harris pleaded guilty Friday in Jefferson County Court to one count of first-degree sexual abuse, waiving his right to a grand jury or trial.

He admitted that in March of this year he had sexual contact with an 11-year-old girl.

He faces a three-year prison sentence, three years of post release supervision, payment of $1,450, registration as a sex offender and a stay-away order of protection issued in favor of the victim.

Sean A. Girvin, 50, pleaded guilty to third-degree attempted grand larceny.

He admitted that on June 26, he attempted to steal $3,000 of property he was moving with coworkers.

He faces a sentence of 1 1/2 to three years, $4,300 restitution and a state surcharge of $325.

Jeremiah L. Markwick, 29, was sentenced to four years of prison with three years of post-release supervision and a $325 state surcharge.

He had previously pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Jeremiah J. Colwell, 37, Adams, was sentenced to time served, a three-year conditional release, $80 restitution and a $325 state surcharge. He previously pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Gary J. Woodward, 54, was sentenced to time served, five years of probation and payment of a $325 state surcharge.

He had previously pleaded guilty to third degree attempted unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine.

Isaiah R. Brooks, 21, Fort Drum, was sentenced to three years of probation, a $1,000 fine and a $325 state surcharge and had his driving privileges revoked.

He was also required to install an interlock device if he obtains a car in the future.

Mr. Brooks pleaded guilty in April to aggravated driving while intoxicated and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, both misdemeanors.

Emmanual Maclee, 30, was arraigned on one count of third-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a class E felony.
