Men accused of sexually abusing girls arraigned in court

July 22--WATERTOWN -- Two men who have been accused of sexually abusing girls were arraigned on the charges against them Friday in Jefferson County Court.

Timothy A. Ferry, 42, Brownville, has been charged with predatory sexual assault against a child, first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, first-degree sexual abuse and third-degree attempted rape. The charges allegedly stem from incidents involving a female less than 13 years old that occurred between 2007 and 2014.

Timothy C. Keane, no age or address available, faces charges of attempted use of a child in a sexual performance, four counts of first-degree sex abuse, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child. The charges involved allegedly stem from incidents that occurred last October involving a female less than 13 years old.

Both of their trials were adjourned for Aug. 29, but they will not be held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and are free until trial.

In other court action Friday:

Aaron R. Kay, 24, Eddy Road, Theresa, was sentenced to five years' probation after he pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and one count of endangering the welfare of a child in February.

Mr. Kay, who admitted to scaring a teenage boy by drawing a knife during an altercation, was required to forfeit the knife. An order of protection was also placed against him.

Jennie C. Ingram, 31, pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Both Ms. Ingram and Andre L. Ingram, 33, had been accused of trying to sell cocaine in October and possessing drug packaging material and scales.

She will be sentenced Aug. 29.

Sean L. Lawwill, 32, of 865 LeRay St., upper apartment, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree arson and third-degree attempted burglary.

Mr. Lawwill had previously been accused of dumping gas and oil on a brush pile on July 5 near a garage at 531 Mill St. and trying to light it on fire. He also allegedly threw a tree stump through a garage window.

Mr. Lawwill also pleaded guilty to fourth-degree welfare fraud and fourth-degree attempted grand larceny for an unspecified incident that occurred earlier this year.

He will be sentenced Oct. 10.

Ormi C. Fermin, 22, Brooklyn, was arraigned on second-degree robbery fourth-degree grand larceny and third-degree assault.

Mr. Fermin has been accused of participating in an effort to steal money during a marijuana sale with Kadi E. Schroy, 19, of Watertown.

State police have alleged that the two offered to sell marijuana to a 19-year-old on Nov. 12 at the teenager's LeRay residence. As the teenager attempted to pay, however, the pair took his money and Ms. Schroy began to drive away with the unidentified individual's arm still inside the vehicle.

Mr. Fermin, the passenger in the vehicle, had also been accused of punching the teenager in the face, causing him to fall to the ground and be struck by the car.

Mr. Fermin's trial was adjourned for Aug. 29.

Ryan E. Carman, 37, was arraigned on fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine.

Mr. Carman and Ashley A. Fulmer, 29, were allegedly found with methamphetamine, the tools to make it and heroin during a Metro-Jefferson Drug Task Force search of their residence, 110 N. Indiana Ave., in December.

His trial was adjourned for July 26.

Lyle F. Hamm, 63, Watertown, was arraigned on an assault charge from earlier this month.

His trial was adjourned for Aug. 29. He will not be held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building.
