Man indicted on charge of repeatedly raping child

Weatherford Democrat - 8/2/2018

July 31--A Parker County grand jury Thursday indicted a man accused of repeatedly raping a child over a several-year period.

Julio Cesar Leon, 40, of Weatherford, was indicted on a charge of continuous sexual abuse of a child: victim under 14 and indecency with a child by sexual contact.

A teenager reported to Weatherford police on May 6 that Leon had sexually assaulted them beginning when they were around 10 or 12 years old and continuing for several years, according to a probable cause affidavit.

The teen reported that they made an outcry to a parent several years earlier but the parent did not believe the teen, according to court records.

The parent told Detective Mark Wolfenberger that they confronted Leon, who initially denied sexually assaulting the teen but later admitted to it to the parent shortly before Weatherford police interviewed him.

Leon admitted to Wolfenberger that he sexually assaulted and raped the child on at least six occasions, Wolfenberger wrote.

Leon, who was arrested May 8, has remained in the Parker County Jail with bond set at $100,000.
