BRIEF: Man netted on domestic violence charges

News Herald - 8/17/2018

Aug. 17--SNEADS -- An Alabama man has been arrested after Jackson County deputies responded to a domestic violence call, according to official reports.

Nicholas Banks, 37, of Enterprise, Alabama, was charged Thursday with domestic battery.

During JCSO's investigation, officers learned Banks had gone to his ex-wife's residence and entered the residence. While inside he had grabbed her against her will. Banks then left before the arrival of law enforcement, JCSO reported.

After the initial incident, JCSO received another phone call with the caller saying Banks was now following the victim's boyfriend west bound on U.S. 90 through Sneads. A deputy intercepted the vehicles and made contact with the individuals. During the traffic stop, the deputy arrested Banks on charges related to the incident earlier in the evening, JCSO reported.

Banks was transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility.
