Spaghetti dinner, raffle to benefit Gertrude Walden Child Care Center

The Gertrude Walden Child Care Center's annual Spaghetti Dinner & Raffle Fundraiser is a popular event that fills local tummies with delicious food and the center's coffers with much-needed funds.

This year's community feeding takes place 3 to 6 p.m.Feb. 23 at 601 S.E. Lake St. in Stuart. For a $5 donation you'll get spaghetti with meat or meatless sauce, salad and garlic knots. If you're not in the mood for spaghetti, grilled chicken also will be offered.

Call ahead and your order will be ready for pickup or you can join in the fun and enjoy your food right at the Child Care Center. Lunchtime deliveries are available on orders of five or more.

You also can sponsor a family in need for $50.

As in years past, theme baskets each containing at least $150 in merchandise will be raffled off. Tickets are $1 each and you need not be present to win.
