MFISD Child Nutrition Services achieves perfect review

The Highlander - 4/21/2018

Marble Falls ISD's Child Nutrition Services Department achieved a perfect score in the latest Texas Department of Agriculture Administrative Review. The 12-week review starts in November as off-site review, and ends on Feb. 8-9 as on-site review.

"The last review in 2014-15, we received a 99.99999 out of 100 score," said Child Nutrition Director, Mary Davidson. "Three years later, in 2017-2018, we were PERFECT in meeting all of the National School Lunch Program requirements!" Providing healthy meals to MFISD's most valuable assets, our children, requires a coordinated effort among staff, parents, and the Texas Department of Agriculture. The most current review demonstrates how the Child Nutrition Staff works closely with our community to develop a Nutrition program that builds healthy students.

"Mary Davidson, Child Nutrition Director, and your Child Nutrition Department professionals are clearly committed to safeguarding the health and well-being of your students," said Sid Miller, Texas Department of Agriculture Commissioner. "They exemplify the highest standards of caring and service by teaching children the relationship between proper eating and good health."
