Flu deaths in Arkansas reach 11

Jan. 09--One more person has died in Arkansas from the flu in the past week, bringing the total number of flu-related deaths to 11.

The Arkansas Department of Health noted in its latest weekly flu report on Tuesday one of the flu deaths this season was pediatric. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has reported a total of 13 pediatric deaths nationwide this season.

Since Sept. 30, 2018, more than 2,700 positive influenza tests have been reported to the ADH online database by health care providers.
