Restaurants Halting Salad Sales Due to E. Coli Outbreak Linked to Romaine Lettuce Contamination By HEZI ARIS

YONKERS, NY - Two people have died and many more dozens across the America and Canada have reported sick. Closer to home, in Westchester County, and the City of Yonkers, St. John's Riverside Hospital, and St. Joseph's Medical Center report getting many patient admissions, and even more calls from people advising of symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and dehydration.

The Center for Disease Control have divulged an E. Coli outbreak connected to Romaine lettuce contamination according to The Center for Disease Control and Yonkers-based Consumer Reports.

Corporate tweets from Wendy's restaurants have divulged they have temporarily stopped selling salads containing Romain lettuce citing concern for possible contamination. Wendy's has also removed Ceasar Salad from their menu in all their restaurants across. Wendy's advise Taco Salads and Power Mediterranean Salad are not the source of the E. Coli outbreak.

Also, readers should recognize that there have been no reports of E. Coli contamination linked to a Wendy's restaurant in North America. Wendy's conduct is a cautionary response that is intended to avoid confusion for the consumer / diner.
