The Invacare Power Tiger with Orbit Seat is a child's powered wheelchair designed for use by children with mobility disabilities. FRAME:Available in a variety of colors, the frame disassembles for transport. The chair is 38 inches high and 22.25 inches wide (without the joystick). CONTROLS: Mark IV RX programmable controller with joystick. This controller has the capability for non-proportional driving for sip-and-puff and chin- or head-switch operation/digital driver inputs. Electronic communication and remote proportional capability are optional upgrades. This chair includes Action Virtual Service that links the electronics to expert help via a standard phone line for diagnostics, programming, and set up. Self-diagnostics monitor 31 critical sites. An optional hand-held Easy Remote Programmer is available. RWD: Rear wheel drive with clutch-release free-wheling. SEAT: The Orbit seat is interchangeable with the Orbit manual wheelchair (see separate entry) enabling it to be used in both chairs The seat width and depth adjust from 10 to 16 inches in one-inch increments. The seat-to-floor height is 17.75 inches. The adjustable-angle, fold down seat back adjusts from 12 to 18 inches high in one-inch increments and the seat-to-back angle is 90 to 110 degrees. The seat length ranges from 34 to 37 inches depending on seat depth and front riggings selected. The seat includes push handles; an extended stroller-style push handle is available. TILT: The standard seat is a tilt-in-space seat offering tilt of up to 30 degrees (a non-tilting seat is optional). A special locking feature prevents the chair from being operated when the tilt angle is more than 15 degrees. The tilt mechanism has two locking cylinders and two release handles. ARMRESTS: The armrest height adjusts from 7 to 11 inches. BRAKES: Dynamic on-demand electronic braking. A slam braking feature stops the chair immediately in the event of an emergency stop. This chair also has manual wheel locks. CASTERS: 6 x 2 inch semi-pneumatic casters are standard; 8 x 1.75 inch semi-pneumatic and 8 x 2 inch pneumatic casters are optional. WHEELS: 12.5 x 2.25 inch rear drive wheels with treaded tires. FOOTRESTS: Swing-away 90-degree footrests or fixed one-piece footboard. POWER: Uses rechargeable 22 NF gel cell deep cycle batteries (not included). A battery charge level indicator, battery charger and battery boxes are included. A charger lockout feature prevents the chair from being operated while the batteries are charging. SPEEDS: Maximum forward speed is 3.6 miles per hour with a speed selector on the joystick. WEIGHT: 159 pounds with batteries; 94 pounds without batteries.
