--- "DO IT YOURSELF" ENTRY ------- PURPOSE: Dice game to help children develop concepts of numbers. Describes construction of a game which includes a wood "bus", twenty peg "men" and four dice. The bus is basically a box 9 by 7 by 3 1/2 inches deep; the bottom is made two boards deep with 20 holes (7/8 inch) drilled in the top one as "seats." Twenty pieces of 3/4 inch dowel cut 3 inches long, half painted one color, half another, serve as "men". The dice are 1 1/4 inch cubes with dots ranging from one on a side (half in a different color) on the simplest to combinations of one, two and three on the most complicated.
