SWITCHSKINS is a keyguard and protective cover designed to protect various electronic devices from getting soiled for individuals with physical disabilities. They are pre-molded, hygienic protective membranes that cover crevices and joints where saliva, germs, food, dirt and moisture can accumulate. They not only keep the devices clean and functioning longer, but also protect the caregiver and client from transferable germs and viruses. SWITCHSKINS can be created for a number of devices such as communication devices, keyboards, joysticks, TTYs, power chair controllers, or switches from various manufacturers including AbleNet, Apple, Everest & Jennings, Innocomp, Invacare, Prentke-Romich, Sentient Systems Technology, Words+ and much more. The thin abrasion- and puncture-resistant urethane film will not impede the device actuation. These membranes attach to the bottoms of the devices using the provided two-sided tape and they can be removed, cleaned, reused, and replaced.
