The Invacare Power 9000 is a powered wheelchair designed for use by adults with mobility disabilities. FRAME: Folding steel frame with aluminum cross braces in standard adult or low seat configurations. With the joystick, this chair is 21.75 to 27.75 inches wide when open in the adult model and 23.75 to 27.75 inches wide when open in the low seat model. With the joystick, both models are 14.5 inches wide folded. The adult model is 35.25 to 39.25 inches high and the low seat model is 33.25 to 37.25 inches high. Both models are 41.75 inches long and have a 4-inch ground clearance and a turning radius of 35 inches. The frame is available in a variety of colors. CONTROLS: Accessible on/off toggle switch and Mark IV sized- and styled-joystick with programmable throw is permanently attached in a choice of three positions. This chair includes Action Virtual Service that links the electronics to expert help via a standard phone line for diagnostics, programming, and set up. Self-diagnostics monitor 31 critical sites. RWD: Rear wheel drive. SEAT: The sling seat is available in 14, 16, 18, or 20-inch seat widths; the seat to floor height on the adult model is 20.25 inches and 18.5 inches on the low seat model. The standard seat depth is 16 inches; extensions kits are available to create seat depths of 17 or 18 inches. The standard back adjusts from 16 to 20 inches in one-inch increments. ARMRESTS: Fixed or height-adjustable flip-up armrests in full or desk length styles. BRAKES: Dynamic electronic braking with regeneration. Braking is adjustable using the performance adjustment menu.WHEELS: 12.5 x 2.25 inch rear composite wheels with treaded pneumatic tires. CASTERS: 8 x 1.75 inch semi-pneumatic or 8 x 2 inch pneumatic front casters. FOOTRESTS: Removeable swing-away footrests. POWER: The 14-inch model uses rechargeable U1 batteries (not included) and the other sizes use 22NF deep-cycle batteries. A dual-mode automatic battery charger and removable battery boxes are included. The three-color LED provides battery charge status (full charge, medium charge, low charge, empty). An energy saver feature is programmable using the performance adjustment menu. SPEEDS: Maximum forward speed is 3.6 miles per hour at an incline of nine degrees. This chair includes an accesible speed selector and forward speed, reverse speed, turning speed, accelaration, torque, and sensitivity are adjustable using the performance adjustment menu. CAPACITY: 250 pounds including seating. WEIGHT: 157 pounds with batteries and front riggings; 77 pounds without front rigings and batteries.
