Satisfaction with Amplification in Daily Life (SADL) is a heaing aid assessment system designed for use in evaluating the satisfaction that individuals feel with their current hearing aids. It quantifies satisfaction using a global score and four subscales: Positive Effect, Service and Cost, Negative Features, and Personal Image. The scale can be used to examine a hearing aid user's experience with a new or current hearing aid or to assess differences between previous and new hearing aids. The clinician can also use it to compare the individual's level of satisfaction with his or her current hearing aid to that of other hearing aid users. The complete system includes a questionnaire, scoring software, a list showing which items are allocated to each subscale, instructions for manual scoring, and a blank template for plotting an individual's scores against norms for other hearing aid users. OPTIONS: Translations of the questionnaire are available in Danish, Spanish, Brazilian-Portuguese, and Swedish. COMPAITIBILILTY: Scoring software is for use on Windows-based systems.
