The Perkins-APH Brailler, also called the Next Generation Perkins Brailler, is a manual braille writer designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This brailler can accommodate standard 8.5 x 11 paper and paper up to 14 inches. Keys are set low, and keystrokes are quiet and require low force. The end-of-line bell is audible but muted. An eraser button allows the user to push one button to erase an entire braille cell. The base is also a handle. The back panel can be raised to provide a flat surface for reading the page, and the front panel margin guides are accessible from the front. The unit has a metal inner frame and parts, with a high-impact polycarbonate outer shell. Paper-feed knobs are designed to be held and turned easily. For users with low vision, the unit has high contrast colors between the keys and body. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 6 x 12 x 10 inches. COLOR: Blue with silver keys. WARRANTY: One year limited warranty.
