Around the Neck Music Device For the Deaf is intended to be used with music and possible future use to be used to recognize phone calls or to alert the user when the doorbell rings. When the device is connected, it lights up to music and the speaker sends vibrations directly onto the surface of the skin. The author attends to use an Arduino board to run the systems. The author is working on developing a code for the system and welcomes any assistance with making a code. The device is made from a recycled plastic container top, energy efficient LEDs, and a reused speaker from a singing birthday card.

Technical Specifications: 

Step 1: Make the frame. Please refer to the picture to complete the first step. First, cut and bend the main piece that goes around your neck to fit perfectly around the users neck. Adding the extender arm for the LED bar: Cut a 4-inch piece of plastic and connect it to the main piece. The LED bar is a small 1 inch piece of plastic with four holes for four LEDs. Step 2: Glue the speaker and LEDs onto the device. This step is explained in the title. Reference the diagram picture and glue the items in place on the device. The author also added a cork pad to the main around the neckpiece for added comfort.
