Road Construction Pretend Play is a do it yourself game designed for children to practice motor planning, control their impulses, learn to take turns, and learn that their commands have meaning while exercising their imagination. With a do it yourself stop sign, children take turns being the “construction worker” and the “cars”.

Directions to make the DIY stop sign:

Step One: Do an online image search for a road construction stop sign and slow sign. 

Step Two: Print and cut out the signs.

Step Three: Glue the two images to a piece of cardboard, cut out in the shape and size of the signs.

Step Four: Attach to the top of a cardboard tube.
