We Rock The Spectrum is coming to the Harrisburg area

The Colonial Commons shopping center will soon be the home to We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym.

We Rock The Spectrum says that it provides sensory-safe play for kids with autism, special needs, and neurotypical development. We Rock The Spectrum - Harrisburg will open at 5092 Jonestown Road in Lower Paxton Township with a grand opening event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 1, according to sign at the store. Dina Kimmel, founder and CEO of We Rock the Spectrum, couldn’t immediately be reached for comment. The gym is located between Marshalls and Jenny Craig.

The gym will include a zip line, a zip box with a slide, a crash pit, a trampoline, a climbing structure and other features, according to its website.

“As the only kids gym that offers an inclusive philosophy we have found all children can benefit from our uniquely designed sensory equipment that is specifically designed to aid children with sensory processing disorders,” the company website says. “However, in our experience, all children are able to benefit greatly from this equipment and by allowing children of all ability levels to play together they are able to learn a great deal from each other and become the best motivation for success on every level.”

We Rock the Spectrum has 84 locations in 21 states and eight countries, according to its website.
