Chula Vista police search for missing at-risk woman

San Diego Union-Tribune - 5/30/2021

Police are searching for a 47-year-old autistic woman who was last seen early Sunday leaving a casino in Chula Vista with an unknown male, police said.

At about 5:35 a.m., the Chula Vista Police Department received a report that an autistic woman, Pang Vue, was missing from the Seven Mile Casino near F Street and Bay Boulevard, said Lt. Scott Adkins.

Vue is Asian, approximately 4 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 100 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a pink jacket, black pants, white shoes and carrying a black backback.

Officers later learned Vue was seen on surveillance video leaving the casino at 1:46 a.m. with an unknown man, Adkins said. She was last seen being pushed in a wheelchair by the man, heading south on Bay Boulevard.

Vue needs medicine daily and speaks limited English but does not require a wheelchair for mobility, Adkins said.

The unknown male is White or Hispanic, is possibly homeless, and was wearing a black jacket, blue jersey and black pants, Adkins said. He has a thin build with shoulder-length brown or black hair.

Vue lives in San Diego and is unfamiliar with the Chula Vista area, Adkins said.

Chula Vista police asked anyone with information regarding Vue's disappearance or whereabouts to contact the department at (619) 691-5151.
