Lake County Treasurer's Community Outreach Committee sets March meeting

Feb. 24—The next Treasurer's Community Outreach Meeting will be held at 2 p.m., March 2.

The headline speakers will include: Kaden McElwain, autistic college student at Lake Erie College raising funds for the Autism Society of American; Dione DeMitro, president of the United Way of Lake County, and Jessie Baginski, president/CEO of Leadership Lake County, according to a news release

Anyone is welcome to attend or become a member of the committee. The purpose of the committee is to inform the public on programs and resources available to them, educate the public on taxes and related programs, recognition of good works in Lake County related to helping others and fiscal responsibility, supporting local non-profits, and promoting support local business campaigns, the release stated.

The committee meets quarterly in the lower-level conference room in the Assembly Room of the Lake County Administration Building, 105 Main St. in Painesville. Those with questions can contact Treasurer Michael Zuren or Deputy Treasurer Sherri Falkenberg at 440-350-2516
