Spas, health clinics and other medical businesses new to central Pa.

A number of medical-related businesses and nonprofits have opened or will open in central Pennsylvania.
The list below includes 12 items in eight municipalities and six counties, including locations that provide services for children with emotional support needs and Autism, provide support to cancer survivors and their families, primary medical care, urgent care, medical spa services, end-of-life care and more.

Merakey Education Center
The center opened at 1920 Good Hope Road. The center provides services for children with emotional support needs and Autism.
Radiant Hope opened the new community center at 48 Central Blvd. The nonprofit provides encouragement and support to cancer survivors and their families.
Sadler Health Center
The center at 5210 East Trindle Road will open on Dec. 4 and will include 23 medical exam rooms and eight dental suites. It also will offer mental health care, a pharmacy, lab services, vision care and urgent care.
Lower Allen Township
The spa opened for business at 3540 Gettysburg Road and offers various services including Botox, microneedling, Hydrafacial, hair removal and skin care consultations, among other offerings. The spa also has a shop that offers several beauty, wellness, and self-care items.
South Middleton Township
Residence at Carlisle
Officials broke ground recently on a new senior living community located off Spring Garden Street. The two-story, 80,000-square-foot senior living community will include 60 personal care units and 18 memory care units. The projected opening date is set in early 2025.
The spa relocated to a new space at 13 Brookwood Ave., Suite 3. The spa offers a number of services, including injectables, facials, massage therapy, lashes, brows, hair removal and permanent makeup.
The Genesis House
The professional counseling service specializing in substance abuse counseling services has relocated its Harrisburg office from Front Street in Harrisburg to the second and third floor of the building at 121 Locust St. in the city
WellSpan Family Medicine
Schaefferstown Family Medicine has joined WellSpan Health’s network and now operates as WellSpan Family Medicine. The practice is located at 2496 Stiegel Pike.
WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital
WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital will launch a family medicine residency program. The program is set to welcome its first medical residents in 2025. The program received full approval to proceed from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education in October.
WellSpan Internal Medicine – Park 5th Avenue
Balhara Internal Medicine Associates has joined WellSpan Health’s network. The practice is now known as WellSpan Internal Medicine – Park 5th Avenue, and is located at 761 Park 5th Ave, Suite A. Balhara Internal Medicine Associates’s other location at 130 E Main St., in Greene Township is now known as WellSpan Internal Medicine – Fayetteville. The three-provider practice established by Dr. Yogindra Balhara will continue to provide primary care services and patient support.
HealthDirect Pharmacy Services
HealthDirect Pharmacy Services has leased 15,100 square feet of space at Burle Corporate Park at 1004 New Holland Ave. HealthDirect Pharmacy Services provides medicine and medical supplies to nursing homes, long-term care homes and other facilities as well as patients in their own homes. A renovation project on the building will take nine months.
Pappus House has opened a new, larger, and permanent home for end-of-life care on a nine-acre property at 66 Big Mount Road.
