Pembroke man wanted for domestic violence incident, police say

Dec. 21--A Pembroke man is wanted after Robeson County Sheriff's deputies found a woman who had been cut across her neck on Friday night, according to a release from the Robeson County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to a domestic violence call on the 1400 block of St. Anna Road, in Pembroke, at approximately 11:45 on Friday, Dec. 20. At the residence, they found a woman who had been cut across the next by her boyfriend, according to the release. The woman was transported to a medical center for treatment, and is expected to recover.

Daniel Burris, 38, of St. Anna Road, Pembroke, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. Burris was last seen walking from his residence with his 13- and 11-year-old sons, the release said.

The Pembroke police department and a k9 unit also assisted with the investigation.
