Pair of domestic violence incidents

Two people were charged for alleged domestic assaults between Wednesday and Thursday.

On Wednesday morning a caller reported hearing a disturbance from a house on the 400 block of Russell Street. Police gained access to the residence and found an injured woman who needed medical attention.

A 46-year-old man in the residence was charged with assault with a weapon and failing to comply with the conditions of an undertaking. He was scheduled to appear in court in the morning.

Then, at 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, a woman on the 700 block of Sixth Street reported being assaulted by her boyfriend. She was allegedly punched in the face, which caused some swelling.

The man fled the area before police arrived, but he was found later at a house on the 700 block of 10th Street.

The 42-year-old man was charged with assault and was scheduled to appear in court in the morning.
