West Palm police say man man sexually abused child over four years

Palm Beach Post - 7/25/2020

WEST PALM BEACH -- A 33-year-old Greenacres man raped and molested a child over nearly four years, West Palm Beach police said in his arrest by the U.S. Marshal's Task Force Friday.

Ronald Leblanc began his exploitation of the child around Christmas in 2016, when he paid the child $20 to perform a sexual act, according to his arrest report.

The victim told police that the acts continued every two weeks over an unknown period, often at different locations around West Palm Beach in Leblanc's black SUV, according to the police report.

The child told police that acts of rape began this year, and, after the first time, Leblanc had offered the child $200.

Last month, Leblanc drove the child to the parking lot of Rain Gentleman's Club off Mercer Avenue, where he worked as a "security leader," and raped the child in his SUV. He recorded the rape on his cellphone and paid the child $20, according to the police report.

Leblanc texted the child to delete their conversations or "he could go to jail," according to the police report. The report also states that he sent the child a photograph of his naked body and asked the child to take naked photographs for him.

In a phone call to the victim's mother Wednesday, Leblanc said he was aware of the investigation.

Leblanc is charged with four counts of sexual battery on a child, one count of lewd or lascivious battery, one count of lewd and lascivious molestation and one count of possessing a photograph of the sexual performance of a child.

A judge Saturday ordered Leblanc held without bail at the Palm Beach County Jail. The county Public Defender's Office is representing him.
