Summer camp instructor accused of raping 8-year-old child

A Tennessee man is accused of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl in multiple locations over the past two years, including at a summer camp where he worked as an instructor, authorities said Monday.

Joshua Webb, 24, has been charged with seven counts of child rape and one count of aggravated sexual battery, according to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office.

Police said he molested the victim at summer camp, in the back of a bus, in the seating area of a skate center and at her home.

The suspect reportedly admitted to abusing the child while riding a bus to field trips in the city of Goodlettsville between February and August of this year, according to court documents obtained by local news station Fox 17.

The investigation began after the girl told a friend about the assaults and both went to the police.

Webb was arrested Monday afternoon and is being held on $1.85 million bond.
