Police charge Allentown man with raping a boy over a decade
Morning Call - 8/4/2020
An Allentown man is accused of sexually assaulting a teenager over a decade.
State police at Fogelsville charged Eric J. Erlemann, 49, of the 800 block of West Susquehanna Street, with rape, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and other offenses, according to court documents.
In court documents, police said their investigation began in July 2019, when a 16-year-old boy reported being sexually abused multiple times by Erlemann between 2008 and 2018 in Allentown and Lower Macungie Township.
Police in June obtained a warrant to obtain a sample of Erlemann’s DNA, and said they were able to match the DNA to a sperm sample found in a location the boy said he was abused.
Erlemann was arraigned Monday by District Judge Michael Faulkner and sent to Lehigh County Jail under $100,000 bail.
