One Place Family Justice Center, Ring partner to help domestic violence, sex assault victims

Montgomery's One Place Family Justice Center has announced a safety initiative to support domestic violence and sexual assault victims.

The partnership includes a donation from Ring of 500 video doorbells and security cameras. They will be giving victims Ring devices based upon an assessment by One Place.

One Place is a support center for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, human trafficking and child and elder abuse.

One Place Executive Director Marjorie S. Baker says the initiative helps increase the protection measures available to survivors amid an increase in violent crimes, abusive situations seen across the nation.

"We are proud to support One Place Family Justice Center in their proven safety programs and services in Montgomery," said Mayor Steven Reed. "These devices generously donated by Ring will help One Place advocates leverage technology as a force multiplier to protect high risk victims and residents in our region and provide added comfort."
