Mar. 24—The Boulder County Sheriff's Office is searching for a Longmont man accused of having child sexual abuse material.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Stevie Brown Jr., 43, for 10 counts of felony counts of sexual exploitation of a child — possession.

According to a release from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, an investigation into Brown began after the Colorado Internet Crimes Against Children task force received information about the possession of child sex abuse material from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

A search warrant was executed on Feb. 8, at Brown's home in the 1700 block of Whitehall Drive, and investigators uncovered additional evidence.

According to the release, Brown was made aware of the warrant for his arrest and has not been seen since.

He is described as 5'8" tall, 155 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. It's believed Brown may be somewhere in the Lakewood area.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Katie Tkach with the Boulder County Digital Forensics Lab at 303-441-3646.

The Boulder County Sheriff's Office, Boulder County District Attorney's Office, Boulder Police Department, Longmont Department of Public Safety and the FBI all participated in the investigation.
