Daily Times-Call - 11/21/2020

Nov. 21--As Boulder County stretched into its fourth consecutive day of record hospitalizations and switched to Level Red restrictions on Friday, 298 new coronavirus cases were reported, but there were no new deaths.

The county is also working to monitor progress at a halfway house in Boulder where an outbreak was determined last week.

To date, Boulder County Public Health reported 9,660 positive or probable cases. The death toll remained at 112. On Friday, the number currently hospitalized climbed to 104, a new record after Thursday's 102. There have been 314 people hospitalized since the virus appeared in the county. The outbreak was determined Nov. 13. State data shows that there are seven probable cases and six positive cases, including three staff and three residents.

Boulder County Community Services' Monica Rotner, division manager with Community Justice Services, said that four staff members and eight residents tested positive.
