Clark County Public Health lifts Lacamas Lake advisoryFree

Columbian - 7/29/2022

Jul. 29—Clark County Public Health lifted the toxic algal bloom advisory at Lacamas Lake on Thursday after the bloom reported earlier this month dissipated.

Public Health still encourages people to watch for floating scum in the lake and avoid direct contact with water in those areas as harmful blooms may return as conditions change, according to a news release.

People can report algal blooms on Public Health's website, and information about beach advisories is available on the department's public beach website, which can be found at clark.wa.gov/public-health/public-beaches. There are currently no other advisories at public beaches in Clark County, according to the website.
