Coronavirus: L.A. County reported 1,666 more cases and 12 new deaths, Sept. 22

Los Angeles County public health officials reported 1,666 more cases of the coronavirus since Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,444,076 as of Thursday, Sept 22.

Officials reported 12 more deaths linked to the coronavirus since Wednesday for a total of 33,509 deaths since tracking began.

There were 23 fewer hospitalizations since Wednesday, bringing the total of people hospitalized with coronavirus to 551.

According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 77% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated with 19,744,257 doses administered.
