El Paso VA to administer vaccine to 150 veterans without appointments Thursday

El Paso Times - 3/3/2021

The El Paso VA Health Care System is taking walk-in appointments Thursday for veterans 65 years and older to get their COVID-19 vaccine shots.

It will offer the vaccine between 4 to 6 p.m. to the first 150 veterans who arrive at the VA’s main facility at 5001 N. Piedras St., officials said.

Veterans must be enrolled with the El Paso VA Health Care System and must wear a mask and have their VA issued ID to receive the vaccination. They will get the Moderna vaccine and will be automatically scheduled for their second dose.

This is the second time this week that the VA is offering the vaccine without appointments.
